Sharing words, hopes, inspiration and, of course, cake.

A Bit About Me

A sudden unplanned introduction to stage fright was the opening of the door to my passion for play writing.

I remember it vividly. On tour in a two-actor play, moving into my favorite monologue and blank, nothing. Absolutely nothing. It was as though the character had been exorcised out of me and hovered above my head, shaking and smiling; “yeah you got nothing girl!”

From then on, I could never relax on stage, which the inner critic, I since named Agnes, adored.

Thirty years later I find myself having fallen in love, moving to America, becoming a young widow, working successfully in corporate training and never being far from my dream of writing for the stage. I have enjoyed writing for magazines, co-writing a self help book, blog posts (mine and others) a screenplay, and stage plays.

While I am drawn to a good romantic comedy, I have an interest to write about psychology and the many layers of the human experience. I love characters who have an intense story to share. My aim is to create work which both inspires and delivers a curiosity into how we create our best lives. When we go wrong and how we go wrong, and of course how we rise.

Lives can be rollarcoaster rides, and it is a privilege to use a creative outlet to explore that.
